(1) A rat-affected ship must obtain a certificate of rat extermination as prescribed for proof of satisfactory completion of rat extermination.
(2) If a ship is not rat-infested or suspected to be rat-infested or is permanently kept in a situation where the number of rats is negligible, a certificate stating that the ship is not rat-infested and that such ship has been exempted from rat extermination for a specified period. You should also get proof of the matter.
(3) A rat eradication certificate or a certificate of exemption from rat eradication provided by the health officer of any port where a Nepalese ship is docked will be valid.
